A Musical Post.

Can we talk about Tommy Lee being all Rob Thomas-esque with his new single and video? I'll be honest... I hadn't heard it until last night... actually, early this morning. I wake up around 4am and the TV is still on VH-1 and I'm liking the song... and then I realize it's Tommy Lee rolling around in the video and I'm like NO WAY.

Tommy Lee has a poppy-rock single and I LIKE IT. So bizarre.

Now on to the hate. Hilary Duff's new song. Heard that one last night and wanted to drive my car into a tree it was so bad. At first I thought it must be Ashlee Simpson's new song because it was all about how hard it is to be famous and then going out on a Saturday night and whatnot... and it just sounded like C-R-A-P... I actually thought it must be some God-awful new artist that the radio station got sucked into playing for whatever shady reason... but no. It was Hilary Duff.

What is even more disturbing about the new 3 minute piece of puke from her is that her man from Good Charlotte apparently helped her out with her new CD and stuff...

If this kid helped with this song he needs to have his wanker removed immediately because there is NOTHING cool, hip, punk, rock, or GOOD about it.

Sorry to be mean, but that's the truth.

Now, Mr. Brightside is STILL my favorite. I turn it up and jump around in the studio and the cleaning people catch me through the glass window. They must think I am nuts but whatever - I am.

The new Train song is really good too... but for some odd reason the lyrics - and just the title of the song "Get To Me" - remind me of that Oleta Adams song from 1991... the one that every radio station in America turned into a tribute to the military. "I don't care how you get here... just, get here if you can." New Train song - good.

New Sheryl Crow song - not so good. And I always want to like her but not feeling it. Good is good and bad is bad. At least now that John Mayer has writer's block he's asking for help... not just writing dumb lyrics.

Actually, John Mayer hasn't run out of lyrics... he just can't come up with anymore MUSIC to go with the lyrics. I'm sure he's still got plenty of funny faces in his bag o'tricks though.

OK, rant over.
