Free & Diaperless!

Allright, here's where I start asking questions.

How on EARTH do I get my daughter to LEAVE HER DIAPER ON?

She's now learned how to undress herself and remove her diaper. I tried putting a onesie on her under her jammies so that she has to take the pants off and THEN unsnap the onesie and THEN undo the diaper... but smarty pants can still do it. I've tried putting her in long jammies that zip up, with onesie underneath... she's still strippin!

I'm working on potty training her so some days I just let her run around the casa without a diaper on... but this is getting ridiculous. I go to get her up this morning and she's standing there bareass in the crib, and of course there's a wet spot where she peed.

She's CONSTANTLY taking off her diaper and I don't know what to do. It's great she's so interested in being potty trained, but this is getting ridiculous!!!!!!

Any tips?

Anyone else's kids do this?

when i was potty training, my mom just let me go commando (unless i was wearing a dress). evidently i trained in 4 days. as for taking the diaper off, i wish i knew, my 19 month old wakes up 5 morns out of 7 with it off. just buy lots of crib sheets, and pray for quick training, i guess!

Try putting her sleeper on backwards so zipper is on backwards. Oh & if you are ready to potty train dont waste your money on pull-ups they defiet the whole potty training idea. Either put her in underwear or commando, you will know right away if she is ready or not. It isnt something that you can force them to do if they arent ready. I never believed those moms who said their kid trained him/herself but my 3 year old was that way. Now I have an 18th month old is wanting to go on the potty. Good luck!!

another tip from my mother. let her sit backwards on the toilet, so she can hold on to the tank and not be afraid to fall in

Dana,
All kids do this. We had two kids and the best solution was to let them go bareassed naked. Also helps with diaper rash. IMHO

To be honest I cant help you on how to poty train your daughter due toIm having problems with mine too. At night I had to learn to make her wear pants to bed cause if not in the middle of the night she will take off her diaper. But I can advise you to listen closely to her and teach her a key word for when she has to go. I thought my daughter the word "YUCK" for when ever she had to go. Now everytime she has to go she says YUCK. Why listen? Well, a couple of night ago I was doing something and she went to her father and told him YUCK, he didnt pay attention to her, she came to me and told her go to daddy, once again she went to him and he ignored her, sooo she tookn of her pants and diaper and all the "crap" was all over my carpet and then by aaccident she stepped on it, so she starts running to me and saying YUCK YUCK I look down and I see "crp all over her feet and hands cause she tried to clean off her foot with her hands and then it went all over her shirt! So, please listen to her very closely! Be a lesson to be learn!

My aunt had my cuz down in one day. She pissed herself once and thought it was the grossest thing ever! Alicia (our 2 year old) has waves of potty training which is normal. She started wanting to go once in a while then stopped, then it was a week straight, then stopped, then 2 weeks...stopped. She is also a stripperella girl. I have been really lucky with the onzies though. She can't unsnap hers! When I layer her she doesn't even try it, she is more annoied that I caught on. Good luck though, it's not just you! LOL

Dana:

I have a 2 1/2 yr ol and she went through the same thing. We are in the process of potty training now and I have come to realize that she dosent like the diaper. So when we are home I just panties on her and she is starting to realize that if she dosent tell me she has to pee she gets all wet and she dosent like it. It will eventually pass but can you blame them for wanting to keep that big ass bulky thing on?
